NJEMSEA members support advocacy efforts to improve EMS education in New Jersey. NJEMSEA’s efforts include sending representatives to state-level EMS committees, writing position papers on how regulations affect education, proposing solutions to common problems in education, and writing education programs and submitting them for NJ EMT CEUs. There are two classes of membership:
Individual members can join NJEMSEA if they are instructors in an acute care discipline such as CPR/BLS, First Aid, PHTLS, EMT, Paramedic education or related safety programs such as CEVO. Individual members get access to NJEMSEA CEU programs for their personal trainings (courses registered to them in the OEMS system).
Organizations such as hospitals, EMS Agencies, and Training Centers can join NJEMSEA if they provide acute care education such as CPR/BLS, First Aid, PHTLS, EMT, Paramedic education or related safety programs such as CEVO. Institutional members get access to NJEMSEA CEU programs and they can be taught by any qualifying instructors as long as they are teaching for the institution (courses registered to the institution in the OEMS system).
